Muslims are encouraged to give Sadaqah when facing sickness or calamity because of the Hadith on Sadaqah, where our beloved Prophet Muhammad is known to have said, treat your sick ones with charity. For this reason, it is believed that giving Sadaqah brings Barakah to one’s health, wealth and even prolongs life.

In order to thank and show our gratitude to our creator Allah (SWT) for all His blessings to us we should pay Zakat-ul-Fitr that allows our less fortunate brothers and sisters to join us in the festivities and celebration of Eid. Zakat-ul-Fitr is a compulsory act of charity that every Muslim must pay at the end of Ramadan, before Eid-ul-Fitr.

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that the believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his Sadaqah (Ahmed), and He (PBUH) also mentioned that Sadaqah extinguishes sins as water extinguishes the fire (Ahmed, Tirmidhi, ibn Majah)

By the grace of the Almighty and the tremendous goodwill of the community, it is a great pleasure to announce that we have purchased our new building located in our neighbourhood, next to our Masjid (known as Fred Paton Centre), alhamdulillah. Now it is time to refurbish and transform this building into a purpose-built space for our community. We need to raise £200,000 to repay existing loans and to carry out refurbishment.

Please donate generously to Al-Furqan Community Centre.

Your donations are a beautiful loan to Allah SWT. Buy shares in the new building and gain rewards in Paradise. The share price is £100 per unit. Shares can only be redeemed in Jannah. Please buy as many shares as you can for yourself and your loved ones.
